Sports Media Believer

Stuart Scott, a main character in ESPN's arsenal of personalities, recently had an interesting exchange with a "fan".  In the February 22 issue of ESPN the Magazine's "TWO WAY" section, an article in which Scott shares some of the chat sessions he has with sports fans, he was asked the following question by a fan identified as Dave from Bethesda, MD. "What's with the Biblical citations on Tim Tebow's eyeblack, Stu? If I were a player and had "There is" written on one side and "No God" on the other, would that be okay?

Now, don't be alarmed by this question but please think of your reaction and comment if you would in the comments section on this post.

As for Stuart Scotts' reply, well I could not be prouder of this public personalities response!!!! Here it is: "Dave, if that's what you want to do, I don't care. BUT Tim and I and billions of other believers in the world know you'd be wrong. I've seen the workings of God many times in my life, like when my two daughters were born. If you don't believe in God, watch a child be born. Then if you still say you don't believe in God, that's okay. The thing is, I think He'll watch over you anyway!"

Yes Stuart I feel the same. However, he has brought to mind one question. If there are billions of believers, then why do we feel like the minority? Believers, and fellow Christians, we are in grand numbers globally but many of us just don't use the large voices we have been given by his power.

So, next time you see an athlete raise hands and point to the sky in gratefulness to His God, remember, it's only one person speaking to millions. It should be millions speaking to one lost person.

Thank you for reading our post today, and your comments will be a blessing.
