Fear not! God has a plan.

 

Canton TX- January 1 2010- A fire destroys the kitchen and Sunday School classrooms of our Church just hours after members held a "ring in the new year" movie night. The fire did indeed destroy the building BUT did not destroy the living spirit of the Church. We will

just pray more and take this opportunity for a revival of the Church.  The Church has served our community for over 110 years and was built by many members themselves.

Brother Bill Parr, Pastor of our loving congregation, has asked the members to just trust in GOD and our needs for the replacement of the Church building will be met. Many members have expressed sentiments of sorrow but all agree it was just the building NOT the Church which was harmed. Little Hope Baptist does not follow it's name in the matter of hope. In fact, we have an overflowing of hope and faith and will continue to meet as a Church in the community center.

As the rays of the sun shine through what was once a roof over our Church, rays of Christs' love and benevolence light up our hearts. Sure our building was destroyed, however, the spirit of our Lord Jesus lives within us and he is constructing a better congregation everyday.

Little Hope Baptist wants you to know the love of Christ and his wonderful work. Please join us for worship and fellowship at our temporary home. We are sharing testimony each Sunday morning service so, come hear and feel the power of the Lord. If you have not given your heart and life to Christ, we will show you the way.
